Then when I try to restore those P&ID drawings, by following the official Autodesk procedure on how to restore drawings through BIM Collaborate, I have also got the attached error and I am always getting a drawing merge log (attached) like something is duplicated in the database. I have also tried to use a backup of the project locally and this error still persists. Then when using the P&ID line list to route the pipe, the changed line is not shown at all any more in the P&ID line list or if it is still there when I try to place it I get the attached error. Suddenly, when I make changes in those drawings they get corrupted and smart properties are lost (when I do a change in a smart property only, for example pipe line size change).
Recently I noticed issues with some drawings in the collaboration project, more specifically P&ID drawings that we have made. Is it worth it? If I didn't have it, it would take me a couple of years to use it competently.We are using AutoCAD Plant 3D and work with design collaboration by using BIM Collaborate Pro. It took me several weeks to convince my company that this would be a good investment, We have five seats and I convinced my boss that we should have two sets.
One line that hand me rolling went something like this "AutoCAD Plant3D gives the user the ability to create platforms and railings for people to fall off." It seems to me that the books are transcriptions of the Essentials courses in The Netherlands by non-native English speakers, and you may have to read the sentence a couple of time to get the gist. I have found these to be very helpful, and sometimes very amusing. The books are: AutoCAD PnID Essentials, PnID Advanced, and AutoCAD Plant 3D Essentials.
Right now there are three books and I think they are planning the fourth. There are no books commercially available, but there are the Essentials courses from the CADTeam in the Netherlands here is the contact info: The books are frightfully expensive.
